McMahon, Welch and Learned, PLLC, is based in Reston, Virginia, one of the most active hi-tech centers in the United States. Although our firm is based in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, we provide legal services to clients across the country, especially those that work with the federal government.
Our firm provides corporate and business–related support and legal services to commercial entities and to firms that contract directly with the federal government. Our corporate legal services include advice and assistance with business formations, business lifecycle support and the merger and purchase/sale of business organizations. Our federal practice focuses principally on small to mid-sized federal contractors who provide a range of services to the federal government, including information technology services. We have supported and assisted the small and disadvantaged business community for many years, assisting minority-owned firms with certification and qualification for participation in the various programs administered by the Small Business Administration. MWL combines a nationwide bid protest and claims practices with a corporate mergers and acquisition practice that is also nationwide.
We serve as outside legal counsel to many small and medium sized companies. MWL government contracts attorneys offer decades of combined experience in all aspects of federal government contract law, advising on small business issues, contract disputes, bid protests, subcontracting and teaming agreements. MWL corporate attorneys offer decades of combined experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate financing for government contractor clients and commercial clients alike. Several MWL attorneys also have years of experience in serving as in-house counsel for public sector contractors.
Because our legal practice is focused and because of our years of experience, we are usually able to quickly identify legal issues relevant to our clients’ needs and to address those legal issues quickly and competently. We strive to build lasting, trusting relationships with our clients and we hope that you will consider joining our client family.
